24-Hour Vigil for People Affected by Police Violence

May 2 @ 5:00 pm - May 3 @ 5:00 pm

City Council is considering watering down the PAB legislation, drastically limiting the role of community members and allowing police on the PAB. This is unacceptable to the PAB Alliance which is fighting for a truly community-led PAB. If we allow City Council to pass a watered down PAB, we will be stuck with a flawed system for another 20 years.

Join us on the steps of City Hall as we honor people affected by police violence and send the message to City Council that the police cannot police themselves. We need a Police Accountability Board in Rochester run by community members not police.

We will have a press conference at 5pm Thursday May 2 at City Hall. Please stand with us as we give a statement to City Council.

Then from 5pm on Thursday May 2 to 6pm on Friday May 3, the PAB Alliance members and supporters will hold a vigil outside of City Hall. We invite others to join us.

Please sign up for a time to join the vigil here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ml3D2qk__HgWK76bDO7EhvLTHLMkG2xTis16jo77sZo/edit?usp=sharing
